Beckham Missed Out on Rookie of the Year
Gordon Beckham did not receive the Rookie of the Year Award. I could have seen this coming. He was literally the only reason why I watched White Sox baseball towards the end of the season. He should have won this. He led the AL rookies last season with 28 doubles, 43 extra-base hits and 63 RBIs. Not to mention finishing second overall for home runs. In the story he was quoted, "The team comes first." What a guy, he knows his role and comes through with everything we need plus more. Granted, his competitors for the award were worthy, but not equally. Beckham is an all-around outstanding player and I hope his return to the White Sox roster this upcoming season will show that. I know it will.
